COP15 opening press conference

The Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Brazil, Marina Silva, the president of COP15, João Paulo Capobianco, and the Executive Secretary of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS), Amy Fraenkel, will hold a press conference this Monday (23/3) at 1:45 PM in the Blue Zone in Campo Grande (MS).

Also participating are the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Deputy Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme, Elizabeth Maruma Mrema, and the Head of Nature Conserved, UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), Kelly Malsch.

At the conference, participants will provide an overview of the meeting including a summary of some of the main anticipated outcomes. They will also highlight the key findings and recommendations of the State of the World’s Migratory Species, Interim Report: 2026, which will provide the context for the negotiations during the COP.
