The opening plenary of the 15th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP15) will begin at 10 a.m. (local time) with the participation of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Brazil, Marina Silva, the designated President of COP15, João Paulo Capobianco, and the Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul, Eduardo Riedel. The ceremony will be held in the plenary hall of the Blue Zone in Campo Grande (MS).
Also in attendance will be the CMS Executive Secretary, Amy Fraenkel, the Mayor of Campo Grande, Adriane Lopes, and the Secretary for Energy, Climate, and the Environment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Mauricio Lyrio, as well as other international authorities.
